Having only released two tiny bits of music in their short lifespan, here is Eismalsott's only EP. Despite the obscurity of this band, this EP is impressively well-composed. The production is crystal clear and very easy to listen to.
The EP starts off with a very psychedelic intro bit and explodes into a very fast and powerful display of heartfelt emotion, soon breaking off again for another acoustic interlude. This is what music is supposed to be about; I can feel the musicians' desire to write these pieces for nothing more than the love of music itself. The EP mixes it up all throughout with quick parts, slow parts, and acoustic interludes to make for some enjoyable music! Vocals seem to be lost in the mix at times, but that's not much of a problem, considering the music itself is more than enough to keep you hooked. It's sad that these guys couldn't go on to release a full-length.
Highly recommended.
