"New Era" was originally intended to be a Stratovarius album and was in the end recorded with the help of several Guest Musicians rather than a full-time band. Michael Kiske (ex-Helloween), Tobias Sammet (Edguy/Avantasia) and Pasi Rantanen (Thunderstone) provided the vocals. Drums, bass and keyboards were played by Mirka Rantanen (Thunderstone), Pasi Heikkilä (45 Degree Woman, Eilera), and Joonas Puolakka, respectively.
