Brilliantly twisted. Here we have one of those releases that makes you scratch your head in disbelief wondering what the hell you just listened to. This is Past functions very highly in the experimental territory, often tossing in extraneous elements that would have any other Black Metal musician shaking his head. That, combined with the general "Whoa dude, far out" feel of the album, makes this truly different from everything else. An oddball for sure, but strangely attractive. I can't get enough.

And the vocals! Oh, the vocals. These are fucked up in themselves, and I'm not quite sure how to describe them. How about... "kid with down syndrome with his mouth full, gasping for air." Heh, my apologies for the rather crude comment, but I can find no other way to describe these one of a kind vocals. These sound actually anguished, and not a facade; like he honestly is in pain. I feel for this guy. Very cool stuff, with some catchy psychedelic riffs.
