Don't let the title fool you. Well, actually this is the right title for this compilation: electronic music, music made by electronic devices. And no, there are no boring disco thumping beats or cheesy keyboards. Here you have some of the most innovative sound designers/experimentalists ever to record their ideas and this compilation serves as a very good introduction to their music. I am sorry for the 128 kbps quality, but don't let it stop you from diving into the fascinating music included in these 3 CDs. Some recommended highlights (which records are to be posted here in full): Clara Rockmore the theremin virtuoso, the ever confrontational John Cage and his anti-music compositions, Stockhausen's classic Kontakte, the genius of percussion Steve Reich performed by Sonic Youth, David Tudor and his home made electronic oscillators, Iannis Xenakis mixing mathematics and sound, Alvin Lucier vibrating a metallic wire through an inductor and Brian Eno, who I assume everyone knows.

This compilation complements the one already posted by Jormungand, which I hope to complete in the future in its other four volumes, to give a pretty damn good introduction to experimental music which anyone interested can dive into and find inspiration as we all do.
