Hailing from the bowels of Poland is an excellent band by the name of Kriegsmaschine (War Machine). Heh, it’s funny, because Poland is NOT a war machine. Anyway, if you’re a fan of Mgła, this is basically them, but better. Mgła recently released their first full-length, and it’s often been compared to Altered States of Divinity, with, of course, the latter coming out on top. There’s not much to say except that this is straightforward, orthodox black metal. No bullshit, no beating around the bush. If you want BM and you want it now, without having to worry about sifting through tons of crappy bands, check this album out.

The vocals are excellent, nothing fancy, but not irritating or piercing like some black metal vocalists. The guitar tone is full and really draws the listener in.

Here we have a short, but solid 37 minutes of black metal the way we all wish it were played.
