I hope that you all had the chance to play this at some point (hey, it still isn't too late, I'm playing a ROM of this right now on my laptop with a wired 360 controller). Not only is it a fantastic game in one of Nintendo's best series but it showcases perfectly how a good soundtrack is truly essential to creating a strong atmosphere in any video game.
Even though this is a platform game on the Super Nintendo, thanks to the soundtrack, it manages to carry a creepy and foreboding atmosphere throughout. These Japanese are really the soundtrack masters.
