I've always loved Floor, and their recent reunion shows have gotten me all juiced up on them again (especially considering that last Torche record didn't really do it for me. Which reminds me, if you happen to have any suggestions for a good 'summer record' for 2011, post 'em in the comments, ok?). If you didn't happen to have a spare $250 for the deluxe vinyl box set of Below & Beyond, here's the low-class mp3 scumbag version for you (although I do feel compelled to steer everyone towards this, on the off-chance that you don't want to be a total dick).
I'm pretty sure that, aside from the s/t LP, this just about covers every single thing the band has ever written, considered writing, or just briefly mentioned in passing on their way to Wal-Mart one sunny afternoon. It's, uh...extensive. Lots of alternate versions, demos and live material, all of varying sound quality but unequivocal heaviness. In fact, the sheer amount of material that they had recorded over the years but never actually released really drives home the fact that Floor were not only much busier than anyone could have suspected, but definitely a little bit... odd. How odd, you ask? Take a journey through the back catalogue of one of the heaviest heavies ever to down-tune their strings off their guitars and find out for yourself.
