Hello there, this is Genaro here, the newest addition to the AngryChairs team, just thought I should do a small introduction.
Refused was a Hardcore Punk band from Umeå, Sweden. They formed in 1991 and released three albums before disbanding in 1998.
Although the first two albums did not make such an strong impact, their third and best work, The Shape Of Punk To Come, is considered one of the most influential albums in history, influencing all of the Post-Hardcore bands to come and many others. After this album, the band took different routes because the singer wanted to take a more political direction with the band (also, as you will noticed, this album is very politically-charged), while other members of the band did not approve of this.
