-------------------------------

Back again, with what just might be Black Torment's masterpiece. This album is just so beautifully majestic in its execution, riffing, vocal performance... everything! Part deux in the Obscurum line, this does the first justice and oh so much more! Probably the most notable difference is the change in guitar tone to a much deeper, fuller sound, moving the atmosphere away from coldness to pure darkness, showcased especially on the ambient outro track.

As previously mentioned, the riffing on this album is incredible. Not one bit of filler material, and every song is filled with infectious melodies and riffs. The vocals aren't so much grumbled anymore and sound exactly like their name depicts: horrible, horrible black torment. What a landmark album.

The Depression instrumental is back again with "Depression II", and while not as good as the first "Depression", this new guitar tone, fits it perfectly and makes for a suffocating listen, again with the potential to remain on repeat for hours without boring the listener.

Breathtaking album and highly recommended.
