Though the term "black metal" was coined by the English band Venom, some argue that Norwegian groups really created the subgenre. This hard-driving documentary tries to determine once and for all who originated the black metal style. Members of Enslaved, Finntroll, Dark Funeral, Naglfar, Rotting Christ and Bloodthorn discuss whether the Norwegians, the Swedes or another group can claim credit. The film also includes live performance footage.
