In case you've been living under a rock since this album was released back in February, here is Astral Luminous's debut album, Lunaric Tide, released this year.
Ambient Black Metal at its finest, the album opens up with an ambient track setting the mood for what's to come. Scott was really going for that deep space esoteric feel and he hit it right on the spot. After getting completely sucked in, the next two tracks blow you away with crushing black metal, sometimes very fast, and sometimes quite slow-paced. Incredibly atmospheric and spacey, this guy has a way with riffing and layering his music. I can feel the excitement as the music builds up on itself. Great stuff. The last five minutes of third song and the final song close the album out in an ambient fashion. A great time to reflect on the black metal you've just listened to.
