Yeah, so you took a look at the cover and now you're thinking "WTF!?" Well, that thought pretty much describes the music. This is weird, but in the best way possible. Wormsblood have crafted themselves an incredibly unique sound of bizarreness and intrigue. Oh, and Black Metal. At times, there is god-awful production, while at others, it actually seems rather clear. The way this album is mixed makes it ever interesting, with the tracks all alternating between the odd mix of black metal, noise and ambient. There will be some sections that we'll hear full out, bombastic Black Metal, opening your eyes in surprise, and then it'll immediately smooth out into a minimalistic drone sort of interlude. For example, in the second track, it's all chaos, then BAM, calm ambient with birds chirping! Comes out of nowhere. And the vocals! There is quite a range of mind-boggling styles, from throaty grunts, to orthodox Black Metal shrieks, to chanting, and then to high-pitched falsetto cries. What the hell did I just listen to? Doesn't matter because I enjoyed every minute of it. Recommended! This shit'll pull you right in.
