Finally managed to track this debut down. If you listened to The Mausoleums' latest offering, Blackened Fawns Cleanse The Earth With Fire, you know how wild and chaotic this guy can be. That's just the thing, this release is colossally more distorted, buzzed-out, and noisy, some might find it difficult to stomach.

However, this is a very good thing if you're like me! I'm always looking for rawer, messier music, and "I Am the Mausoleum" certainly fits the bill. Some songs sound like crackling earthquakes, complete and utter insanity with no end in sight, while others slowly lope along, chugging you through their world of buzz and brutal droning reverb, completely gripping the listener by the nads, and not letting go. The whole album is like one huge punch to the face, as filthy as you'll ever hear. Very much recommended for fans of noise.
