Wijlen Wij is brought to you from the very same mastermind behind Pantheist, Kostas. Yes, that's right, prepare to be blown away. This is a pretty damn heavy release, on par with others like Ahab and Esoteric. The production is great for this type of release. It reverberates in such a way that you can hear the fuzz and aftermath of each pound on the guitar. Very satisfying and really involves the listener. Keyboards are also a pretty big deal here, and their slow, melancholic droning adds quite a bit of atmosphere and gloomy bleakness to the release.
